World War v2.0 is Storm8's dramatic update, or sequel, to its popular text based iPhone MMO RPG World War. In World War v2.0 you are going to find the basic format the same with major improvements, all of which is a sign that Storm8 has finally decided to take their gaming design forward instead of remaining static.
You start out by selecting a country, and each one has the ability to earn certain types of credits faster. You start out with a little more of a story focus in World War v2.0 and the limited scope of possible actions that you have right from the start forces gameplay into a more linear flow.
This means that you have to start off World War v2.0 doing Missions before you can even camp out at the Home page. On a fundamental level World War v2.0 has the same basic design as the original World War, only with major details added.
You will maintain the World War Alliance Codes to add players, but you will not be able to add other players with your World War Alliance Codes or other methods until you progress to a certain level. It is assumed that limiting new players to certain gameplay elements and World War Alliance Codes will force them to have standard progress in their characters, but it is still a good idea to dial in to sharing your World War Alliance Codes as early as you possibly can.
You can still visit the President in World War v2.0 and use World War Honor Points. These World War Honor Points are used to cheat your way through different gameplay elements, and you can purchase World War Honor Points from Storm8 on the App Store.
This entire World War Honor Points exchange is where Storm8 makes their money from World War v2.0, so they will likely continue the franchise. If you did not take to World War the first time then World War v2.0 will not convert you, but it still stands out as one of the better examples of this genre and a light showing that there still be life left here after all.
