Autobots, Assemble! Viper SmartStart Car Starter Now Speaks Android

The Viper SmartStart remote car starter, which already has iPhone and Blackberry apps to control it, has just added support for Android devices.  Like the iPhone version, the Android app is free (although the SmartStart hardware itself can run you upwards of US$499.00) and includes the capabilities to lock/unlock your car, pop the trunk, or sound the car alarm in an emergency.

We at iSmashPhone love anything that controls our car from the palm of our hands — but, as with any "universal remote" smartphone application, security is a concern.
