Kevin Andrew of Dell posted a video blog showing off their Streak smartphone running on Android 2.1. However, they say the they plan to upgrade to Froyo (Android 2.2).
Andrew said that the Carbon-colored Streak is available in the UK, and will be launching throughout the rest of the world "shortly" with the Cherry Red model coming "shortly thereafter."
Still, there is no definite release date, and Dell's previous window of "late July" doesn't seem to be happening, according to reports from Engadget.
Also worth noting is that Dell did have a post that offered a pre-sale program in which people could sign up and would be notified as soon as the phone goes on sale. They listed device at $299.99 with the two-year contract, and $549.99 sans contract, this was reported by Engadget, who says that the source was pulled by Dell shortly after.
