Hey, DJ! iOS4 Lets You Access Your iTunes Library

Up until now, any DJ'ing apps for the iPhone were hobbled by the fact that you had to load up a standalone library of MP3's — the iPhone software wouldn't let you access your iPod library directly.

All that is changing with iOS4, whose API includes hooks to play, mix, and even scratch the music you already have on your device.  The first app to take advantage of the new "open music policy" is Flare Scratch, a simple turntable simulator (which you can see in action in the above video).  The next logical step will be two-turntable DJ apps that take advantage of the iPad's greater screen real estate.
