LG Display, the manufacturer tasked with building the iPad's 9.7-inch display has said that they can't keep up with demand.
Bossman Kwon Young-soo said that Apple has been ordering "more and more" of the screens, because demand for the product is so high. Unfortunately, he says that his company can't keep up.
Though LG said that they are committing $512 million to a factory that will build smaller displays, such as those found in Apple's iDevices.
According to website Electronista, Apple's demands for the display are "unique" not only because of the "LCD with a color-accurate IPS panel but a large, high-accuracy touchscreen and strong glass." They also report that it's possible that Apple signed a deal with Samsung before launch to shift some of the manufacturing workload if needed.
