LG and Samsung are working on Android-based tablets. The LG news comes from LG Korea's site, and is roughly translated via Google translate, making it a bit difficult to fully understand. The report does indicate that the Android-based tablet computer will launch Q4, 2010, but not much else is made clear about the device.
Samsung's tablet, which will launch under their Galaxy brand, according to reports, should be coming in the third quarter of 2010. As Ars points out, this is shortly after last week's Cisco announcement of an Android-based tablet geared at business customers.
Other rumors indicate that Android version 3 will come later this year and be designed for tablets, while Android version 2.x will continue to focus on smartphones.
