Apple was recently awarded two patents related to the iPhone. The features have been in the iPhone for years, and both patents were files three years ago. But this means that Apple now has the rights to those functions.
The first is the "Slide to Unlock" function. This feature is incorporated into the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The other patent is their character pop on the keyboard. This is the function that causes the letters to expand while typing on the iPhone' keyboard, as seen below on the letter 'G.'
