Spell Blocks with Sight Words – Spelling is another important skill for children to learn early on. This App puts letter blocks on the screen and lets your child learn how to spell the words and makes the process of learning fun. At $1.99 it’s not a bad price, but it’s definitely for younger kids.

Dictionary.com – Dictionary & Thesaurus – This App is available in both a free version that is ad supported and a paid version for $1.99. It puts a dictionary and thesaurus in the palm of your hand for use anytime, anywhere.

History: Maps of World – This free app is a collection of historical maps. The great thing about having it available on the iPhone is that it’s easy to carry around in your pocket. It’s a beefy download (considering it’s an iPhone App) at 76.2MB, but you can’t beat the price.

Constitution for iPhone and iPod Touch - Free, and one of the most important documents you can ever obtain. In fact, this is worth a download even if you aren’t a student.

Presidents – Who was the 10th president of the United States? Not many of us know that sort of information off-hand. At the very least, this is a list that will help you keep track of all US presidents.

BodyBook Fitness Journal – This App helps you keep track of your physical fitness and training. Great for those in athletics or those in sports or powerlifting. Keep a chart of your progress throughout the season.
