Now a company called iPort has created a pair of new wall mounts for the iPad and iPod touch to turn them into wall controllers for a home music system, or other automated task.
The mounts can be installed either in landscape or portrait mode.
Another cool use for the iDevices, sure to be cheaper than many in-wall touch systems for home automation.
It really underlines the versatility of Apple's magical devices. iPhone/iPod touches have already made in roads in to restaurant industry, becoming order pads for servers in some restaurants.
With the rumored, upcoming reboot of AppleTV as iTV, the Cupertino giant is making even greater in roads into our homes. Accessories like this are only bound to help.
