1. Backup, backup backup
2. Visit jailbreakme.com
Make sure to visit that site with the device you like to jailbreak
3. Slide the Slider to jailbreak
Confirm that you want to jailbreak
4. Downloading process starts, you do not need to do anything
5. After download, jailbreaking process starts you do not need to do anything.
6. When jailbreak is successful you will get confirmation screen
7. Cydia icon should be available on one of your app screens. Also, since cydia been accessed by thousands of people at the moment, do not worry if it is slow and does not load. Take a break and come back later.
In case if your jailbreak fails you can try it again, site will detect the failure (see screen below)

Sort of overwhelming for a first time jailbreaker. Doing as best as I can to understand packages and things of that nature as well as installing free apps. Lots to learn.

Has been sitting on the “Jailbreaking… Sit tight..” screen for about 10 minutes now at about 90% does it normally take this long??
restore should fix it but it will take a way jailbreak, gonna test out if restore does fix the issue

i jailbreaked it first time. but somehow i restart it. and it not restarting the iphone. so i restore the phone to 4.0 and try to jailbreak again. it will start downloading. after downloading. it just went back to regular screen. not jailbreaking. nothing happening. what’s going on…
People that changed their root and mobile passwords might want to steer clear of this … at least it’s hanging me up. Not bricking the phone, just going to the “Oops…” screen.
After using the slider to tell it to jailbreak…it shows me the Space background and nothing else happens.
That is indication that servers are overloaded, keep trying

I’m now on Safari on my iPhone, have entered the jailbreakme.com site.
Now i get the screen where you can slide the tab across but when i slide my finger across nothing happens, the tab does not even move. What should i do to get it to work?

This was the easiest jailbreak I have ever done. I can’t imagine how it could be any easier.
WEll.i,ve uploaded my 3gs to 4.0 but Im getting issue that my phone gets restarted again and again during call…and also getting same problem relates to mms and facetime…can anybody tell me that y im getting all ths and how can i fix………..?
