How to Jailbreak iPhone 4.0 Using JailbreakMe.com
Comex and company have finally delivered the long-awaited jailbreak to the iPhone 4. It is called JailbreakMe 2.0, and it’s a browser-based jailbreak the iPhones and iPads, that opens up nearly any iOS device, all the way back to the iPhone 3G.
As a browser-based app, all you need to do is direct your device to the Jailbreak Me website at http://jailbreakme.com and successfully load the page. It uses the Safari browser itself to break into your device.
The servers are obviously getting slammed pretty badly, as news of this leaks out. Only a few have even seen the page pictured above so far, but we will be testing this as soon we can and we will have details posted soon.

Got it, jailbroke my iP4 effortlessly.
The first thing I tried from Cydia (Makeitmine) caused the whole app to hang. Force-quit methods did NOT work: the [hold the power button until power-off dialog appears and then hold the home button] failed to quit Cydia. Using the app-switcher failed also: Cydia doesn’t show up in the recent apps panel.
I had to restart the phone.
This time, Makeitmine installed and worked just fine, changed my carrier name. I remember Cydia and Installer used to crap out the first time they were run; maybe it’s just one of those behaviors.
just done mine worked great but lost my mms
works flawlessly on my iPhone, cannot get it working at all on my iPad though!
Installed it, working on guide for less adventurous so they can see all the steps involved.
Just installed it on iPhone 4G iOS 4.0 and 3GS iOS 4.0.1 and it worked fine!

Yup. MMS is gone on my girlfriend’s 3GS as well.
My Iphone 4 has been hanging on the “Jailbreaking Sit tight..” screen for about 10 minutes now, does it normally take that long?
Dammit lost MMS on the Iphone4 I am NOT happy. Uggh Any Fix other than a restore in Itunes
And I lost tehtering, this really sucks. If you have a Iphone4 dont do it! Goping to do a full restore. Uggh
It would be one thing if I could download PDANet (used to use it on my old jailbroken 3G) but its not reachable via Cydia. What a waste of time.

Worked fine on my iPhone 4; still have MMS just as before and even got free MyWi 4.0 working (the only BIG reason I even bothered – refuse to lose my unlimited plan AND pay extra from data I’m already paying for!).
So this might be a stupid question, but can you still sync iTunes/download things from the stores? Do you just lose access to any purchases that you have made? If Att would give us free tethering and turn by turn directions like every other company, this wouldn’t be an issue.

I’m now on Safari on my iPhone, have entered the jailbreakme.com site.
Now i get the screen where you can slide the tab across but when i slide my finger across nothing happens, the tab does not even move. What should i do to get it to work?
