The iDisk App update 1.2 has a feature that had gone overlooked for almost a month since its July 6 release.
Michael Robertson found the feature hidden deep within the App's release notes. As he mentions, the update list mentions a feature that will allow users to, "Play audio from your iDisk while using another App."
That basically means you can stream music files from your iDisk to your device. As Mr. Robertson mentions, this is not yet the cloud-based iTunes we have all been hoping for, but it's definitely a step in that direction and may be an indication of things to come.
There is also no iTunes support. That means no playlists or direct integration with the software. You must manually add individual files to your iDisk for playback. However, it does let you stream to multiple devices, according to reports. Sounds like a fun idea for iDisk users.
