iOS4.2 will include a wireless print feature. This was announced by Apple at the September 1st event.
Later Apple released the 4.2 beta to developers and announced that the feature would be called AirPrint.
Apple recently filed a trademark application for the AirPrint. The Goods and Services relating to the trademark sound just like what we know up to this point:
| IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Computer software; computer software to facilitate printing; printers; computer hardware and peripheral devices
IC 038. US 100 101 104. G & S: Telecommunications services; electronic transmission of data and documents between digital devices and printers; providing wireless telecommunications via electronic communications networks; transmission of data by electronic means
|
We are curious to see if Apple will start calling wireless printing across all their machines AirPrint. It woud definitely help pull together that unified environment they are always looking to create.
