Face Dances: Apple Scoops Up Face-Recognition Company

Polar Rose was a Swedish software company that specialized in face-recognition techology (see video above for examples).  We say "was" because Apple swooped in and bought up every share of the company.  According to the Norwegian tech site that reported the takeover, Polar Rose's products are not dissimilar to what iPhoto for OS X already offers, and two products in particular ("Face Cloud" and "FaceLib") appear to be of interest to the House of Jobs.
