iFixit has taken apart the new iPod Touch and is in the process of putting together their teardown walkthrough. They have also posted images of the new battery.
Some of you may remember when Steve Jobs said that the new, 4th-gen iPod Touch would be able to play up to 40 hours of music. That's almost two straight days of music without having to charge the device! It's probably because the device is 90 percent battery, 10 percent iPod. Look at that thing. We remember when eight hours on a little monochrome iPod seemed like a long time. After all, that was a full day in the office. A full day of nothing but our favorite music.
