A few days ago an open-source PlayStation 3 jailbreak was released. With a chunk of code and an AVR USB board, users would jailbreak their PS3.
In the video above MuscleNerd showed that he was able to port to the iPhone rather than the need for the AVR dev board. This may mean that a PS3 jailbreak via iPhone is right around the corner:
