An iPad newspaper subscription plan is rumored to be on the way. We can all probably agree that this is something that should have been done from the start. Of course, we never know what is going on behind the scenes: deals, negotiations, arguments, pricing agreements…etc.
At the beginning the iPad was seen as the device that could help revive the newspaper industry. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to happen immediately, and the high price of iPad-based magazines, discouraged many readers.
Currently the New York Times is available, but the process is a bit of a workaround Apple's store. A user who downloads the Nook App (formerly known as B&N Reader) can subscribe to the Times digital edition.
