This one seems very unlikely. However, it's getting hard to ignore. Take it with a grain of salt: The new, camera-equipped iPad will be launched this holiday season.

The product is said to be in advanced testing stages, and word comes from "a person with proven knowledge of Apple's future product plans."

Though it's not impossible, it's just a bit hard to believe that an iPad could be on the way by December. The device is still in such high demand that there is almost no need on Apple's part to rush it. Apple typically updates their product line on a yearly cycle, and if they keep playing by those rules, we shouldn't be seeing a new iPad until early 2011.

Still, if this rumor is true, it would definitely keep the iPad looking like a hot holiday item through the end of the year. Not to mention, this isn't the first rumor we've heard of it. We aren't saying it's not coming, but within the same calendar year of the launch product sounds a bit soon.
