Apple may be flush with excitement over the stealth success of their Apple TV settop boxes — but they also might wanna be looking over their shoulders.
Documents leaked to Engadget suggest that AT&T may be making their U-Verse streaming TV network available to Xbox 360 users. Reportedly, the Death Star will roll out a U-Verse update this Sunday (October 17), and flip the switch on Xbox connectivity on November 7th.
The deal comes with a couple of gotcha's: the Xbox in question has to have a hard drive, and there has to be at least one U-verse box in the household. On the other hand, every Xbox that substitutes for a U-verse receiver could save the household US$84.00 per year in set-top box rentals.
