JBL’s newly released two new portable iPhone speakers the On Stage IV and On Stage Micro III iPod and iPhone docking stations. The unique looking speakers have a wavy design the company calls “the Weave.” It certainly is different looking. It makes your iPhone look like it's growing out of a plant!

The new units are compact and versatile, and feature albuminum-domed transducers that promise to deliver accurate, high-frequency response, and a slipstream port design that optimizes bass output while minimizing distortion. They come complete with an IR remote that has an effective range of 15 feet.

The On Stage IV ($150) features four Odyssey transducers, which emit rich and clear sound optimized for most listening environments. It includes an AC adapter and can also be powered by six AA batteries for up to 16 hours of normal play.

The On Stage Micro III ($100) has a smaller footprint, and is more travel-friendly. It’s equipped with two Odyssey transducers, comes with an AC adapter, but the Micro III can run on only four AAA batteries. They'll give you up to 24 hours of continuous play.

Both models are compatible with all docking models of iPod and iPhone and sport a standard 1/8-inch auxiliary port for non-Apple devices.
