The Apple TV settop box is turning into a smash hit, with only a fraction of the hype and fanfare of its iCousins.
According to a report by JMP research analyst Alex Gauna, in its first week of availability, the streaming-video gizmo is completely sold out in major markets like Boston, Chicago, New York, and DC. The unit's US$99.00 list price is "resonating with consumers," according to Gauna, who predicts sales of at least 1 million Apple TV's per quarter.
