According to Nielsen Media Research 32 percent of iPad owners have never downloaded form the App Store.
The data also shows that a majority of those who do download from the App Store download games, which isn't necessarily surprising given that we've heard in the past that most apps being developed are games.
Five percent of the total userbase only downloads free applications. Nielsen's data also shows that almost 63 percent of iPad users have paid for at least one App. (68 percent of users have downloaded Apps in total, be it free or paid).
62 percent of those who download paid Apps have downloaded games.
– 63 percent of users are under the age of 35.

– 51 percent have a bachelor's degree
– Over 25 percent make earn an income of more than $100,000 a year.
