Today Apple announced that they will be rolling out iOS 4.2 for their line of iOS devices. What about Apple TV? Isn’t that an iOS device now as well? It is, and that’s why it’s going to be getting update 4.1.

Coming with build 4.1 for Apple TV is full-on AirPlay support. This will add the ability to stream video, photos and audio from your iPad or iPhone to your Apple TV 2G, and may be the technology that helps Apple break into the living room thanks to its availability on third-party hardware as well.

Apple will also be adding VoiceOver for accessibility. The VoiceOver command reads menu items for those with a visual impairment.
