Rupert Murdoch and Steve Jobs will be meeting onstage at a December event to announce something major, like the future of the newspaper.
According to reports, Apple and News Corp. may be working together to introduce iPad-only subscription services in early 2011. The word is that Apple and News Corp. won't simply be converting a traditional publication to the iPad. This would be a whole new publication called the Daily.
If rumors are true, the Daily would run 99 cents a week and will be limited to publication on the iPad. It may even become available as early as December 9th. Reports also say that Apple engineers are working closely with News Corp. to ensure that the publication is optimized for the iPad. Can the iPad really replace the newspaper?
