According to a recent Tweet by MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev-Team, iPhone hacker GeoHot may already have his untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak prepped.
Here's what MuscleNerd had to say:
@ipodguy79 I hear geohot does have an untether actually! Though not for all devices.
It was in response to Twitter use ipodguy79, who had first tweeted:
@sherif_hashim @MuscleNerd @iphone_dev @chpwn keep up with your soap opera and geo will be slapping another reality check on you
While we have used jailbreaks by various teams, and the one you want to use is entirely up to you, we tend to enjoy using stuff by the Dev-Team. Their updates may take longer, but they do it in the name of giving their users the most stable, solid jb they can release, which is why they are currently doing their bug testing.
Meanwhile, GeoHot, who is also known to demonstrate his ability to crack the PlayStation 3, has published the console's root key on his website with the following words:
props to fail0verflow for the asymmetric half
no donate link, just use this info wisely
i do not condone piracyif you want your next console to be secure, get in touch with me. any of you 3.
it'd be fun to be on the other side.
You can see the key here. It's said that the key would be very difficult to change, even with a firmware update because doing so could risk making all PS3 software useless. Which means Sony probably can't issue a fix.

Did you seriously just write an entire article based on a tweet, and stretched zero information out into several paragraphs? I think you did.
