Can you hear buyer's remorse now? Good!
Verizon has decided to take pity on us poor souls who opted for another handset before hearing that the iPhone was coming to the "Big V." As per their FAQ:
Current Verizon customers who purchased and activated new smartphones, feature phones or certified pre-owned phones between 11/26/2010, and 01/10/2011, are eligible to receive up to a $200 Visa debit card when they purchase an iPhone 4 at full retail price by 02/28/2011 and return their existing phone. Note: This offer is only available on consumer accounts with five lines or less, who are purchasing iPhone 4 through Verizon Wireless retail stores, telesales, or through verizonwireless.com.
Here's the key phrase: full retail price. That'd be $649.99 for the 16GB version and $749.99 for the 32GB model. Assuming you got one of the higher-end phones like the Droid 2, which is currently priced at US$199.99 with the two-year contract; after trade-in, purchase, and rebate, you're still looking at an additional US$250 you'll have to shell out for the top-end vPhone.
So the question is: how badly do you wanna grab one of those silvery Apples?
