“vPhone” Squeaks Through FCC Approval JUST In Time

While Verizon was triumphantly trumpeting "WE GOT THE iPHONE, GUYS!" earlier today, Apple got a not-unexpected — if close to the wire — thumb's up from the Federal Communication Commission on "Model A1349" (a/k/a the CDMA version of their cash-cow smartphone).  Feel free to grovel through the FCC technobabble documents (linked below), but all you need to know is that the phone's kosher for the 850 and 1900 mHz bands, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.  No word on roaming outside of the US, via GSM or otherwise…
