This is a simple one for anyone who has an iPad. If you are connected via wifi (which you probably are at home) you may have run into an issue with the iPad losing the connection.
When your iPad connection drops, you are greeted with a message informing you of such and you will be asked to reconnect. In our experience, it's always been better to ignore that message as it never seems to work.
Instead, go to your Settings>wifi and choose your network from there as you would while first connecting. Reconnect never seems to work, at least not quickly, and we just find it easier and less time-consuming to reconnect manually.
