With all the news of The Daily happening today, it was easy to forget that Verizon and Apple will be offering pre-orders for the Verizon iPhone beginning 3AM EST tomorrow. Those of you who plan on staying up late tonight, or waking up extra early to be one of the first to pre-order probably need to know where you can start pre-ordering. Remember, only current subscribers and corporate buyers can pre-order. Those who are on AT&T and plan on making the switch, or just anyone new to Verizon in general will have to wait until February 10th. It’s okay, from the sounds of it, everyone will be getting their iPhone at the same time, some will just have to go to the store if they want it on the day it’s released.
Let’s take a look at some of the ways you can pick up your Verizon iPhone:
1) Pre-Order from Apple’s Website: Here
Pre-ordering means you have to be currently signed with Verizon. We recommend this as a first stop if only because we are already familiar with how Apple’s order process works, and their customer service has often been helpful. Also, the phones are coming direct from Apple, we are sure all phones being ordered are coming from the same stock pile.
2) Pre-Order from Verizon’s Website: Here.
Current Verizon subscribers may want to try here as well, and sign to be informed when the pre-orders start. Another option is probably to just sit by the computer and hit the reload button over and over again. Who knows, it beats camping out, especially in this weather.
3) Order on February 9th From Apple.
Again, Apple.com may be where you go for ordering on February 9th. It’s not quite as nice as pre-ordering, but it’s a nice way to ensure that you get your handset early on. Those who live near an Apple retail store can go this route and pick up their handset on Feb. 10th, the day of release, at 7AM:
Order an iPhone 4 from the Apple Online Store and have it shipped free to your door.
Or reserve an iPhone 4 on February 9 for pickup at your favorite Apple Retail Store starting February 10 and get Personal Setup.
4) Buy it the Day Of Release (February 10th):
There are a few options if you go this route. You can hope to pick one up at the Apple store at 7AM when the doors open (be prepared to wait in line) or you can go to your local Verizon store and do the same. This is assuming you didn’t fill out an order on your Verizon iPhone and want to pick it up from the store on the first day. Either way, you may want to count on seeing some lines outside the store, but you may get lucky depending on your area. Perhaps you live in a less-populated town where there is more of a chance to nab the iPhone at your local Verizon store. No one but Apple and Verizon know how their supply will be, but don’t be disappointed if you wait and don’t get one on the day of release. The Verizon iPhone seems to be getting a lot of hype, and it has been for most of last year, when it was still in rumor status.
