Apple is holding an event this week. They are set to reveal the iPad 2, at least that’s what we gather from the invite they sent out last week. As far as what to expect from the announcement, count on a release date and prices for each model. Expect to see a nice preview of FaceTime on the iPad as well as Photo Booth and a deeper look at iOS 4.3.
The smaller news might be an official release date for 4.3, which we recently heard went into GM status, but have as of the time of this writing yet to see seeded out to developers. Expect iPad gesture commands and the possibility of seeing it launch very soon.
Aside from that, a bit of Apple bragging about their sales. We can also expect that Apple fans will praise the device, while Apple haters will trash it. The mainstream news outlets will talk about the new iPad, and people will wait in line outside the Apple Store for the new tablet.
On our end, expect a fun liveblog. We will be talking, and chatting it up while delivering commentary on the event. In other words, it will be the exact opposite the two-hour snore-fest of an HP event where our blogger left his computer to watch cartoons…but who can blame him?
