Looking for something to do with that old iPad?

Did you buy an iPad 2? Maybe you're thinking about buying one, but still on the fence and don't quite know what to do with that old iPad. Well, here's one more idea.

First, you may remember when we wrote about ways to get rid of your old iPad to help toward your purchase of an iPad 2. It's nice to get a bit of extra money, but it's also nice to feel like you're contributing to a good cause. At least that's kind of the idea behind a program recently launched by Teach for America and Apple.

Teach for America is a non-profit organization that works to improve educational opportunities to students in lower-income areas.

All you have to do, they say, is take your old iPad to an Apple retail store and tell them you want to donate your old tablet computer to Teach for America. In turn, Teach for America will give the device to a teacher.

It takes a lot to donate a device that cost you $500 or more less than a year after getting it. All we can say is kudos to those who decide to go that route as it's going away for a good cause.

For more information, check out Apple.com and Teach for America's official website.
