A few days back we posted a video by iOS hacker Stefan. Basically, his tools would make the iOS 4.3.1 jb untethered (as was shown on the video). Unfortunately, he did not pin a date on it, because he said that last time. some impatient people got pretty nasty via email. You know, usually not a good idea when someone's providing something you want, for free.
Well today, the Dev-Team's MuscleNerd has announced, via Twitter (where else?) that Stefan's exploit is "solid":

As we learned, Stefan had passed the exploit onto the Dev-Team to package it for use when the jb is finally released.
As always, we will be keeping tabs on the jailbreak news, and hoping for some awesome new developments as something official nears release. For now, there are some iOS 4.3.1 jailbreaks available, through unofficial packages, such as this one, but we hardly think they are worth the trouble of installing and are tethered, meaning you must physically connect your iDevice to your computer each time you boot. Not exactly ideal for an iPhone as it may render your device useless if you have to reboot and happen to be out of the house without your computer.
