Build a better mouse…er, credit-card trap, and the world will beat a path to your door. That's what the folks at Square have discovered. Their system that allows iPhone and Android owners to accept credit card payments through their phones has only been around for less than a year, but it's already racking up daily transaction totals of over US$1 million.
And that's with free sign-up, a free cardreader dongle that plugs into your handset's earphone jack, and a recently-lowered per-transaction fee of 15 cents to boot. I think we're looking at the next PayPal, folks.
