iPad 2 owners have been waiting for a while already for an iPad 2 jailbreak. It looks like someone with malicious intent has created a fake jailbreak for the iPad 2 on iOS 4.3.2. It's called A5-2LiB02. It's literally designed to fail. This is the word coming from well-known iPhone hacker and member of the Dev-Team, MuscleNerd, who tweeted on the matter:
MuscleNerd also showed the following image grabbed from the fake jailbreak code:
Luckily, it seems as if this jailbreak simply doesn't work, because the person wanted to mess with users for some unknown reason. Still, MuscleNerd warns that it could have been something that would wreck your files had the maker created it as such. This one looks as if it will simply give you an error message and tell you to connect your iPad and try again. Either way, don't mess with it. In fact, we suggest staying away from any jailbreak unless it's created by someone who is trusted like the iPhone Dev-Team or the Chronic Dev-Team.
Know that if anything is going to happen in the jailbreak world, people like MuscleNerd would be some of the first to let us know. It's also a good thing that we have people as thoughtful as he is who choose to let the general public know when something is wrong. Otherwise, many of us may go for the download not knowing about possible issues.
