These are beautifully-crafted docks for your iDevices. They are made to look like ol’ school appliances. Look at that old TV or that radio and alarm clock. We think they could be awesome if they were a little more 80s looking.
Nick Brian over at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics over at Stanford. He has two turntables connected to a laptop with two iPod touches. He has some custom software on the iPods and uses that gyroscopic information to ‘scratch’ on the turntables. It’s pretty cool. Too bad it’s not available to the rest of us. Even then, it looks like setup may not be all that quick.
Rumors say that the upcoming iPhone 5 will have an aluminum back rather than the glass back found on the iPhone 4. If that’s true, this may be about as close to an iPhone 5 as you can get right now. This case offers a protective aluminum back for your iPhone 4. Close enough for now, right?
