Apple has been awarded a design patent for their iPod shuffle. As with most design patents, it describes “the ornamental design for a media device, as shown and described.” Then it goes on to show images of the iPod shuffle in what looks like the second-gen device, which is very similar to the current model.
As with the past design patents we’ve seen, it has broken lines to represent the parts of the design that aren’t claimed in the patent. Take a look at some of the interesting drawings below:
This was a fun little design. We like having a means of input. Apple learned that lesson between this model and the current one.
