We've been checking out some iPad cases from Waterfield Designs, and have been grooving on the attention to detail and clever design elements. F'rinstance, their iPad Suede Jacket isn't much more than a slip-in bag, but we dig the feel and stretchy protection of the Ultrasuede construction, and love little details like the grab loops at both the front and back, for easy pull-on and pull-off. The Suede Jacket comes in sizes for both the iPad 1 and 2 (with or without a Smart Cover) for US$19.00 plus a coupla bucks postage. Want a little extra storage? Each jacket also comes with an external mesh pocket for US$25.00.
Maybe you want a lot more protection (with the same ease of access) than the Suede Jacket provides, but still don't want a lot of extra bulk? Try out the Smart Case — less than an inch thick, with rigid inserts to protect the body and Ultrasuede lining to do likewise for the screen, and lots of attention to detail (leather trim, invisible stitching). The US$59.00 price tag includes the external pocket and models for all current iPads.
