Facebook is all the rage these days. You share links, thoughts, photos and ideas. Friends "Like" and comment on your posts. Hey, it's a nice little way to do the whole social thing and connect with friends you haven't seen in a long time.
Well, now there is a Cydia app that lets you share just a bit more…taste in music! This little jailbreak app is called NowPlaying for Facebook. This basically lets you post the song and artist you are currently listening to so your friends can know exactly what music you're enjoying at the moment. Know that this kind of thing earned me some flack when Ping, Twitter and in turn Facebook posted that we were listening to "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush. It's great song, but it's probably not the kind you tell your friends you like. Especially if you're a Combichrist or Bella Morte fan. Having our Facebook feed say "XX is listening to "The Way That You Love Me" by Paula Abdul definitely gets us some comments.
Anyway, we have to be careful with this software, as should you for the reasons we mentioned above. You don't want some of that guilty pleasure playlist being shared with your internet friends, right? Yeah, we didn't think so.
So, if you: 1) Want to share your playlist 2) Don't have embarrassing songs/don't care 3) Have a Facebook account, this app is for you. As we mentioned, it's available through Cydia. You can find on Cydia under the BigBoss Repository. It's free. Know that this App does require that you have the official Facebook application from the Apple App Store.
