Over the past year, we've been talking about how the iPad 2 and Apple TV combination were becoming more and more like a home console. It began with little setups like the iPhone as a controller and the iPad connected to a television. Only certain games took advantage of this setup. When Apple introduced the current-gen Apple TV, we saw a few more cool tricks thanks to AirPlay. Finally, the iPad 2 came into the picture, and games were able to display on the screen while the iPad 2 acted as a controller. The problem was that the iPad was held by an HDMI cable. Not fun for gaming.
Now, the iPad can stream to Apple TV over AirPlay. Making it truly feel like some sort of gaming console. Just have a look at the video above.
