Images Techunrapped
Looks like more evidence of a higher resolution iPad screen is emerging on the internet. Now we are hearing about someone going through the current SDK and finding images at double the resolution.
This information comes from techunwrapped, whose tipster notified them of the change with the following:
As I was going through the iOS SDK I came across some images in the new Twitter .framework. The resolution appears to be 1,536 x 2,048.
and
Apparently the Twitter.framework is the only framework I found to have these enormous images.
We've also seen some images in the iPad SDKs that were twice the size of the current iPad's needs.
Yesterday, we ran a rumor on a high-res iPad 3. According to the rumor, the new display would be a Retina display at 2048 x 1536. That's twice the resolution of the current models. While there is no doubt in our mind that the iPad 3 will have a higher pixel density, we are doubtful that it's coming this year.
