We've heard rumors about Amazon's upcoming tablet. Now, we're hearing from Digitimes that Amazon will launch their tablet's this August – September. They are aiming to sell four million units for 2011, say Digitimes' sources, who are component makers in Taiwan. The tablet is no doubt expected to compete against the iPad. If the reports are true, Amazon will even provide their streaming service to users of their tablet.
If the rumors are accurate, Amazon is targeting those holiday sales that rise just before Thanksgiving. They are also saying that the processors in the tablet are by Texas Instruments and Wintek of Taiwan supplying the touch panels.
