We won't pretend to know the science behind this, but it looks very cool. One musician decided to film from inside of his acoustic guitar. The result is an awesome video that shows the guitar strings vibrating in some crazy way that looks like waves traveling though them. The video is one of those happy accidents that ends up looking very cool.
To our understanding, though it looks very cool, the video doesn't actually capture how guitar strings oscillate. Website TUAW spotted this, and according to the gentleman who posted the video it's really just an example of the iPhone 4's rolling shutter, it captures the strings in some way that causes the effect above.
