According to a Digitimes report, Taiwan-based notebook maker, Pegatron, has received 15 million iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S orders. According to the report, Apple is still expected to start shipping them in September of this year. However, they were unable to get comment from Pegatron.
Pegatron was also responsible for the iPhone 4, says the report. However, the sales of the CDMA iPhone 4 were lower than expected, and they only shipped four million units.
Further details provided seem to say that the iPhone 5 does not seem like a major update to the iPhone 4. The company is also hoping to fill some iPad and MacBook orders, but it's said that existing makers are fighting to keep their orders.
