Apple has surpassed Nokia as the biggest smartphone maker in the world.
The iPhone continues to see strong sales. In fact, it broke third-quarter records this year, selling 20.34 million. That’s a lot of iPhones. Especially when you consider that the iPhone 4 has been around about a year and many users know that the iPhone 5 is on the way.
Nokia’s saw a decline in units. From 24.2 million in Q1 to 16.7 million in Q3. According to reports (via BGR), Apple has already been number one when it comes to profits, but this marks the first time Apple manages to sell more units than Nokia.
