Just pretend this is an iPhone 5, it’s about as close as we’re going to get right now.
A China Times report (via 9to5Mac) says that the iPhone 5 is going to hit during the second week of September (between the 6th and 15th). If this is the case, we’d expect Apple’s press event to be as early as September 1st. It’s also worth noting that the iPad 2 was announced on March 2 and released on the 11th–nine days later. So an iPhone announcement in early September with a release a week to 15 days later sounds entirely plausible, especially if it were to launch right After Labor Day, as a Reuters report pointed out recently.
Then there is the iPad HD, which we heard rumors about a couple weeks back (the reports call it the iPad 3, but some past reports say the iPad 3 will come along as scheduled in the Spring and the iPad HD will be a pro-level iPad). Oh well, whatever it’s called, the next iPad is said to have been delayed until late November, perhaps Thanksgiving, just in time for Black Friday.
We’ll see what happens in September.
