Yesterday, news circulated that Apple was preparing to update the their Mac Pro and MacBook Air lines. This was based on part numbers that many thought hinted at the new computers. Turns out, that may not be the case, according to 9to5Mac. The computers getting the update may actually be the white MacBook and the Mac Mini, 9to5Mac says, citing a source they deem reliable.
According to their source, the below part number may be the white MacBook, which will of course have Thunderbolt and the faster processors:
MC914LL/A – J59, BEST – USA
The Mac Mini, however may be coming in three flavers: a base model, a server model and a model with a faster processor that's made-to-order, says 9to5Mac:
MC936LL/A – J40, ULTIMATE – USA – Mac mini Server
MC815LL/A – J40I, BETTER – USA – Mac mini standard configuration
MC816LL/A – J40, BEST – USA Faster Mac mini (likely BTO)
Of course, we can count on them all having the faster processors as well, and the Thunderbolt port. It's also been reported that the MacBook Air and the Mac Pro should be coming around later this month or next.
