Before you worry too much, remember: don’t believe everything you read on the internet. We’re just going to run this because there’s a bit of “just in case,” but mostly because we think our readers should know that this may just be total bunk. 9to5Mac reports on the story, but agrees that it should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism.
There’s a rumor going around right now that alleges that the iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S is going to be delayed. Supposedly, it’s because the A5 chip is overheating. If true, that would be exactly why the iPhone didn’t launch around June/July as is usually expected.
It also means that the iPhone could be delayed further into the year, or even next year. The A5 doesn’t seem to run that hot, but who knows what it’s like when used in a smaller device like the iPhone. What do you all think, readers?
