Taiwan-based website Apple.pro (via Google translate) has posted what they say are images of the dock connector for the iPad 3. Also apparent from the image (if real) is that the iPad 3 will come in white, just like the iPad 2. did.
What’s so special about that? Well, according to MacRumors, the white dock connector is slightly different. They explain that the white iPad 2 does not have that white-tipped connector. This could signify a slightly modified case design. It is mentioned that the original iPad connector was white (even though the actual tablet was only available in black) but it was embedded in an aluminum shell.
Adding to that, we can’t verify whether or not these are real. It’s worth keeping in mind, though, that Apple.pro has a good track record with revealing certain iPod models in the past.
