We’ve been playing Connectrode for iPhone today.
It’s a simple puzzler in which players must clear a circuit board by placing connectors to attach two colored chips. For instance, if the game gives you a green connector, you must arrange it on the board so that you can complete the circuit by bridging two green chips. Those pieces will disappear. You move until you either clear the board or can’t connect anymore pieces. It’s an easy concept, and there are multiple difficulty levels. The puzzles are generated at random, so no two are ever alike.
Then there’s the music. It’s soothing. It’s up there with the water level of the original Donkey Kong Country. Chill music.
It’s not upscaled for the iPad. Maybe it’s something the developers will consider if the game does well.
