One of our writer’s has recently launched a fundraising campaign for a documentary film, and graduate thesis project, dealing with eviction resistance in the housing crisis. Since the banking bailout and financial crisis foreclosures and evictions have hit record numbers, sending entire communities into a warzone to keep people in their homes. Some people have put together a movement to resist these evictions as they happen and put homeless families into vacant homes that the banks have foreclosed on. The documentary attempts to look at these communities, activists, and families as they take on the banks and fight to make housing a human right.
